3146 - Type 6 Engine

 

1994 GM 4x4 with a 350 gallon water tank, with a class A foam injection system is used for initial attack on fires. Carries 3 crew members, hand tools, chain saw, hose, crew gear, drip torches, mop-up kits, and portal water packs that are carried on the back of the crew members, and a ProPack for making large quantities of foam. This engine is equipped with front spray bars, and a hose reel located in the back of the engine.

3150 - Crew Vehicle

 

2003 Ford F250 super duty turbo diesel 4x4. This truck was donated by the El Pomar Foundation and is used to transport crew members to the fire line quickly. This allows our crew to get to the fires and begin our attack faster then ever before. Carries 5 crew members, hand tools, chain saws, fuel, water, and much needed supplies.

3151- Crew Vehicle

 

2003 Chevy 2500 4x4. This truck was purchased by El Paso County as part as the donation with El Pomar. This Truck is outfitted exactly like 3150, and is used to transport additional crew members to the same fire or other fires if we have multiple fires in the county.

3152 - Crew Transport 8 passenger

This Chevy Tahoe carries up to 8 crew members to fires. It also carries hand tools and personal gear for all pasengers.

20-06-01 Type 6 State Engine

2003 Ford F-550 super duty turbo diesel 4x4. This truck is owned by the Colorado State Forest Service, but is operated by our crew to help with initial attack of fires in our area. This Type 6 engine carries 450 gallons of water with an foam injection system. This carries 5 crew members, chain saws, hose, fuel, hand tools. This engine also is equipped with a hose reel located in the rear of the engine.
